With technological strength of MianYang Research Institute of Agricultural Science, Sichuan GuoHao Seed Industry Co.,Ltd has been founded as a joint company by incorporating three other seed companies. The corporation has registered funds of thirty million CNY and it has the right of wholesales, retail, export, and import. The corporation, based on scientific research, endows its right to the main body—the enterprise which has developed its pattern of “breed, raise, sell” as a whole. Altogether, the corporation is setting to its national brand. The corporation has won many glories .For example, it has been awarded as the one of the 10 strongest scientific research centers, the 50 strongest seed corporations, the 10 high-quality enterprises, and the most civilized unit, the key protected enterprise, AAA enterprise in Sichuan branch of Agricultural Bank of China.
In the corporation, there are 170 staff members, among which there’re 90 technicians, 54 experts with 9 experts granted national special allowance, 15masters and doctors. Until now the corporation has invited over 20 well-known experts to exchange various projects. Meanwhile, MianYang Research Institute of Agricultural Science, as its research base, has been equipped with complete specialty and rich achievements. There are 12 research centers of wheat, rice, maize, rape, cotton, potato and biological technology etc. As a wheat branch of research center, the institute has undergone many projects, such as national Plan863 and the other national, provincial, municipal ones. Since 1996, 60 varieties have passed inspection, among which 10 have passed the nation’s inspection, There are 36 varieties, for example, rice varieties of Jinyou725, Mianhui725, Mian2A, Mian5A and rape varieties of Mianyou11, 12 and maize varieties Miandan7, 8,9 and wheat varieties of Mianyang33, 35 have been applied for the patent.
The corporation has stable seed-breeding field over 5 thousand ha. Customers welcome its seeds with high quality. The corporation have passed ISO9001: 2000 quality inspection and is named as experimental enterprise by Agricultural department. The corporation has advanced equipments for storage; 200m2 inspection room with over 40 instruments. The corporation has more than 20 branches, 10000 sales spots to whole, retail, and committed sell as a net. The corporation breeds various seeds over 30 million kg, the major parts of which include wheat varieties of Mianyang 30,31,32,33,35; rice varieties of Jinyou725,Guohaozayou1,2,3, Gangyou725,Ⅱyou725, Guohaoxiang5,6 ; Maize varieties of Miandan No , 7,8,9; rape varieties of Mianyou11, 12 and new varieties Mianyou15 for industrial use.and cotton varieties of Shumian1,2,3 and Potato varieties of Miansu4,6,7 etc.
